Undefeated KO artist hints that he is Tyson Fury’s next opponent

Tyson Fury is expected to announce his second warm-up fight in due course, potentially against an unbeaten heavyweight who insists he is bringing the “Fury”.

‘The Gypsy King’ returned to action in April, unanimously outpointing Arslanbek Makhmudov in his first outing since suffering a second points defeat to Oleksandr Usyk.

Having incurred 16 months of inactivity, it was hardly surprising that Fury needed to dust off the cobwebs ahead of his long-awaited encounter with Anthony Joshua, which is set to take place later this year.

In order to secure the lucrative all-British dustup, however, both heavyweights must complete their respective upcoming assignments.

Joshua’s next outing, against Kristian Prenga, has already been confirmed for July 25 in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, while a date, location and opponent is yet to be announced for Fury’s interim fight – though rival promoter Eddie Hearn says that he knows who ‘The Gypsy King’ will face, suggesting it will be made official soon.

The 37-year-old himself has teased a date in August, though, with rumours suggesting he could feature on the undercard of Pierce O’Leary vs Mark Chamberlain at Dublin’s 3Arena.

As for an opponent, Albania’s Nelson Hysa has been named by several outlets as the frontrunner, with the unbeaten 41-year-old having even taken to social media himself to fuel the rumours.

“The wait will be worth it. The Fury of Hysa is coming.”

The post is one of several that tease big news coming soon, alongside footage of the Albanian training.

Despite boasting a professional record of 24-0 (22 KOs), Hysa remains far removed from the world scene and is yet to defeat an opponent who would have a strong argument as British level.

Nevertheless, it would appear that he is certainly in the conversation to face Fury, perhaps representing a low-risk option ahead of the potential Joshua showdown.
