Nottingham Forest are now pushing to grant Vitor Pereira’s wish and sign an impressive £26m star this summer.
The Midlands club are already planning ahead for Elliot Anderson’s likely exit and could have a transfer war chest to spend if Manchester City match their asking price worth a British record.

It would hand Evangelos Marinakis the ultimate opportunity to rebuild the Nottingham Forest squad back into European contenders following a disappointing campaign last time out.
It took the owner a fair few attempts to get things right in the dugout last time out, appointing Ange Postecoglou and Sean Dyche before finally settling on Pereira. That far from helped Forest’s season, but they’ll be hoping to enjoy long-term success under their current boss.
With Pereira set to stay put, the Tricky Trees are able to focus on reinforcements this summer and if Anderson leaves, they could finally welcome a target that they’ve been waiting for since the January transfer window.

Davide Frattesi has been a name on Marinakis’ radar ever since a move failed to take place in the January transfer window and now, he could finally get his man.
According to Sky Italia, as relayed by Sport Witness, Nottingham Forest are readying a bid to sign Frattesi worth around €25m (£22m) before any add ons.
Pereira is reportedly a big fan of the Inter Milan man and Forest are attempting to grant his request by continuing their talks with those at San Siro.
If they want to get a deal over the line, however, then they may need to up their offer. Inter are currently demanding €30m (£26m) to sell Frattesi and it remains to be seen whether add ons in Forest’s incoming bid will match that price. Of course, though, that asking price will be no problem if Anderson leaves for a British record this summer.
