Ahead of their upcoming wedding over the Fourth of July weekend, Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce have reportedly asked guests not to bring gifts, with an NFL star confirming the surprising request.
Although the couple has remained silent about their wedding plans, several emerging clues continue to point to Madison Square Garden as the venue for the event.
Reports also suggest some of Taylor Swift’s famous friends would be asked to sing, as a producing company is creating a “massive stage” for the wedding.
Swift and Kelce’s highly anticipated nuptials inch closer by the day, with the who’s who of Hollywood expected to make an appearance.
However, it appears guests who were fortunate enough to be on the guest list won’t need to spend a dime on the couple as they’ve reportedly asked for “no gifts.”
In a conversation with ExtraTV at the annual Tight End University “Tight Ends & Friends” concert in Nashville on Tuesday, San Francisco 49ers star George Kittle made the revelation, noting that the billionaire pop icon and the Super Bowl-winning NFL star seemingly don’t want their guests to bother about getting them anything.
“They said absolutely no gifts,” Kittle claimed. He then shared his hopes for the soon-to-be wedded couple, saying, “Have so much fun with all your friends.”
Although the couple already has everything they could ever need, with Kelce reportedly worth $90 million, and the “Bad Blood” singer’s net worth topping $2 billion this month, Kittle implied that he won’t be adhering to their wish and would go out of his way to get Travis a gift.
“I was thinking, Travis, for some reason, likes old coins,” Kittle joked. “So I might get him an old coin. Sounds expensive, too.”
Prior to Kittle’s comments about Swift and Travis’ wedding, a source had shared with an outlet that guests were told not to bring any gifts and instead, should donate to a curated list of charities.
The Pop Superstar Made A Surprise Performance At The Event
The revelation capped off an already eventful week at TEU, an offseason training program founded by Kelce, Kittle, and former NFL star Greg Olsen.
Swift made a surprise appearance at this year’s event, joining country star Lainey Wilson for a surprise performance of her 2008 mega-hit “Love Story.”
She then gave a shout-out to Kittle, telling the crowd the performance was “a very special request from a very special tight end who wanted to hear a particular song, and that tight end… is named George Kittle.”
The performance marked Swift’s second consecutive appearance at the charity concert, having performed “Shake It Off” at the event last year.
Other performances included Dan + Shay, Chase Rice, Jon Pardi, Nate Smith, Mitchell Tenpenny, Brett Young, and the War and Treaty.

Meanwhile, several clues continue to point to the fact that Swift and Kelce’s wedding is imminent and would be held at Madison Square Garden in New York City.
Speaking with People MagazineKittle heaped praises on Swift for spending time with his family at the annual event, as well as making time out to come when their wedding is already around the corner.
“She’s just such an awesome person to give us her time this close to their wedding,” he told the news outlet. “So we’re just so thankful that they’re here.”
Then there are clues that have emerged confirming MSG to be the location. According to The New York Timesa permit requesting street closure from July 2 to around noon on July 4 for a July 3 event has been filed.
The permit also requested tents outside the iconic venue that can hold between 500 and 999 people, as well as street closures near MSG.
According to USA Todaythe permit was made through the city Street Activity Permit Office, Pekec, who noted that it’s not uncommon for such a large gathering to apply for permits.
“That just means they’re going to put proper protocols to make sure everyone’s safe and can get around,” the office said.

On social media, Kelce and Swift have been receiving backlash over their decision to get a permit to close down streets in New York City.
One X user slammed the couple, writing, “Closing the busiest streets in the most populous city in the country for 3 DAYS just to fuel your own ego .. we have never seen this level of narcissism before.”
Another person noted, “I said it once, and I’ll say it again. I do not think you should be able to close whole streets and inconvenience people’s daily lives for a wedding. It’s an unnecessary gross display of wealth and inconsiderate.”
“Closing the streets outside of MSG on Fourth of July weekend is absolutely psychotic, I’m sorry. This level of entitlement is… what they wrote about in the bible,” a third critic commented.
Taylor Swift’s Wedding Stage Is Reportedly In The Works
Meanwhile, TMZ reports that a massive stage for the wedding is being built at Pennsylvania production facility Rock Lititz, leaving many netizens to wonder if a concert is also going to be held on that day.
According to sources who spoke to the news outlet, the construction is happening in a warehouse “under lock and key with security guards patrolling the area.”
There are also reports that a band will be present for the nuptials, but some of Swift’s famous friends, especially those who are singers, will be asked to hop on stage and take the mic.
Some of the names expected to make an appearance at the wedding include Ed Sheeran, Zoë Kravitz, Selena Gomez, Gigi Hadid, and the HAIM sisters.
