With the Knicks needing a single win to secure the NBA championship, excitement among fans in New York is at an all-time high. However, Knicks fans hoping to watch their team clinch the championship in Game 5 at Frost Bank Center in San Antonio may be in for a disappointment.
According to TMZ, the Spurs are reportedly limiting access to Game 5 tickets to fans within a 150-mile radius of the Frost Bank Center.

“Frost Bank Center is located in San Antonio, Texas. Sales to this event will be restricted to customers residing within a 150-mile radius of Frost Bank Center. Residency will be based on credit card billing address. Orders by residents outside of a 150-mile radius of Frost Bank Center will be canceled without notice and refunds given.”
The news left Knicks fans livid, with many slamming the Spurs for seemingly trying to prevent New York supporters from flooding the arena for Game 5.
“Scared to death,” one fan wrote.
“That lawsuit is gonna go crazy,” another fan commented.
Other fans pointed out the challenges such a policy could pose, especially in identifying and reimbursing ticket holders who may not fall within the reported radius.
With Knicks fans among the most passionate in the NBA, it’s not surprising that the Spurs may have decided to take such measures, given the magnitude of the game.
According to ticketing platform Gametime, 54% of Game 5 ticket purchases have come from the New York area. With the franchise chasing its first title in 53 years, fans are eager to be part of a potentially historic night.
The Knicks won the first two games of the series in San Antonio, before splitting Games 3 and 4 in New York.
