Foiled White House attack: Group planned to use snipers and drones, says FBI

The FBI has said it thwarted a planned attack on the UFC mixed martial arts event on the White House lawn on the weekend, with the attackers allegedly planning to use explosive-laden drones to strike the north side of the White House while snipers would shoot people as they fled. Five people have been charged over the plot and they were allegedly motivated in part by anger at the handling of investigative files related to sex offender Jeffrey Epstein.
