Behold, a Tiny Tease of The ‘Gravity Falls’ Art Book

For Gravity Falls fans, June 15 is an important day in the show’s history, since it’s when the Disney series premiered. In three months, the show will get its long-awaited art book hit shelves, and io9 has a first look at what to expect.

Below, you can see the book’s table of contents—sorry, the “Mabel” of contents—and shots of the Mystery Shack in season two. Drawn by Ian Worrel, the page notes highlight the Shack’s revised look under the season’s new style test, plus the Pines twins’ room. Dipper and Mabel’s abode has some mementos from their season one adventures, and Dipper’s side also has a chewed up Sharpie, in a cute nod to creator Alex Hirsch’s “calling card” during production.

Across the 252-page book, readers will get to see the Gravity Falls show bible, its early development, and even how its intro sequence was crafted. Everyone’s going to have a section that interests them the most, but a big draw might be “Writing and Plotting.” When it was first announced, Hirsch and co-author Rob Renzetti teased the book would feature jokes and ideas for episodes that had to be cut. For anyone obsessed with this show and what could’ve been, those pages may justify the book all on its own.

Whatever part of the book you prioritize, the whole thing will be worth the read. Fans can indulge once The Art of Gravity Falls hits stores on September 15.
