Antonio Brown takes shots at Asante Samuel for his questionable post about A.J. Brown

The New England Patriots bolstered their wide receiver room by trading for A.J. Brown from the Philadelphia Eagles this week. However, former Patriots cornerback Asante Samuel isn’t a big fan of the trade.

Samuel, who spent five seasons with the Patriots at the start of his NFL career, launched a scathing attack on the Pro Bowl wide receiver on social media.

“A.J. Brown wouldn’t be able to handle my mouth in practice,” Samuel wrote on X. “He would have been left Philly fuc*ing with me.”

Former Pro Bowl wide receiver Antonio Brown slammed Samuel for his criticism of the former Eagles star.

In another X post, Samuel claimed that legendary Patriots coach Bill Belichick would’ve encouraged him to trash talk Brown.

“And in New England, Belichick would have hyped me up to talk shi* to A.J. Brown,” Samuel wrote. “Don’t come around me acting soft and sensitive… I can’t stand it.”

Former Eagles WR A.J. Brown reflects on dream Patriots move

While Asante Samuel was critical of A.J. Browns’ trade to the Patriots, the former Eagles wide receiver is relishing the opportunity to play with his new team.

“Trying to adjust and walking up the hill with the uniform on, I was like, ‘Man, this is real.’ Caught myself at one point in practice, I wasn’t paying attention because I was like, ‘Damn, I’m a Patriot.’ Just trying to take it all in as much as I can… And like I said, I’m enjoying it. I know this ain’t heaven, but it’s close to it,” Brown said.

The Patriots’ incredible first season under Mike Vrabel ended with a Super Bowl LX defeat against the Seattle Seahawks in February. However, Brown’s addition gives star quarterback Drake Maye an upgraded offensive weapon to target in 2026.
