WWE had revived the Bloodline saga yet again, and Roman Reigns’s faction looks stronger than ever. It all began with The Original Tribal Chief winning the World Heavyweight Championship at WrestleMania 42, beating CM Punk clean, delivering a five-star classic.
Instantly, as The Original Tribal Chief won the title, the Stamford-based promotion began building the Bloodline once again, as the Usos already reunited with the Tribal Chief, and the former United States Champion Jacob Fatu jumped from Friday Night SmackDown to Monday Night RAW and issued a challenge to Reigns for his title.
Thanks for the submission!
The two faced each other at the Backlash premium live event, where The OTC showed the levels of the game to the Tribal Wolf by beating him during their first meeting, but Fatu didn’t accept his loss and laid an attack on Reigns after the bout ended.
Moving forward, post-Backlash, Jacob issued a massive challenge to Roman Reigns for a Tribal Combat match-up at Clash in Italy; this time, the World Heavyweight title and Tribal Chief crown were up for grabs, but The OTC added his own stipulation to the bout, where if the Samoan Werewolf loses, he had to serve Roman.
In between the build to the Fatu-Reigns saga, there were rumors all over the internet about Zilla Fatu making a debut in the Stamford-based promotion, but his arrival at WWE didn’t come to fruition. Now, a recent report by PWInsider suggests that World Wrestling Entertainment is interested in signing Umaga’s son to the company.
In this listicle, we take a look at four ways Zilla Fatu could make his debut in WWE:
While many may think that, given his family status and hype behind his name, Zilla would make his debut on the main roster, the rising Samoan superstar could debunk the trend and follow the correct way by first trying his hand at a development brand before heading directly to the main roster and carrying forward his late father Umaga’s legacy.
Solo Sikoa had a similar run, first making his name in the Black and Silver brand before heading to the main roster, joining The Bloodline faction, and becoming a household name.
The Original Tribal Chief and his family group have grown stronger than ever since Jacob Fatu joined forces with The Usos and Reigns following his loss to Roman in a Tribal Combat match at the Clash in Italy premium live event.
WWE has been investing all its resources in renewing the Bloodline saga and adding more depth to the stable. WWE may add a new member to the faction in the face of debuting Zilla Fatu, who could arrive at the sports entertainment giant at the SummerSlam premium live event, creating a viral moment.
Solo Sikoa has his own Bloodline on WWE SmackDown, called The MFT. The faction formerly had four members, including the Street Champion, but JC Mateo and Tonga Loa were released this year, leaving only Tama Tonga and Talla Tonga.
Sikoa’s faction dominance has dipped significantly over the months, and he definitely needs to pull some strings to get back to the position Solo once was. To do so, the former United States Champion could bring in Zilla Fatu as his new enforcer and have him do all his dirty work.
The Samoan Werewolf never wanted to become part of Roman Reigns’s Bloodline, and to this date, he is not on the same page with The Usos, especially Jey Uso.
But he was forced to serve The Original Tribal Chief after losing the Tribal Combat match against the Tribal Chief at Clash in Italy, which stipulated that if Tribal Wolf lost to Reigns, he would have to serve him.
Reigns defeated Fatu cleanly, extending a 2-0 record against him in Italy, which forced the former United States Champion to acknowledge the Tribal Chief and join his Bloodline. Now, Jacob was stuck with Reigns.
In a shocking turn of events, Zilla Fatu could arrive on RAW and help Fatu escape The OG Bloodline’s clutches, creating an engaging storyline.
