In Destiny 2, you will come across a wide range of weapons throughout your journey. One of the most iconic categories in the game is the weapons of sorrow. These powerful gears feature Hive-inspired designs and deadly perks, and can take down enemies with ease.
However, the process of obtaining them varies from weapon to weapon. While some are available as a direct purchase, others require completing raids, quests, or defeating powerful bosses. How to find all weapons of sorrow in Destiny 2
As mentioned earlier, weapons of sorrow are a special category of powerful exotic weapons available in Destiny 2. There are currently four such weapons in the game:
- Thorn (Hand Cannon)
- Osteo Striga (Submachine Gun)
- Touch of Malice (Scout Rifle)
- Necrochasm (Auto Rifle)
Below is a detailed breakdown of how to obtain each.
How to obtain Thorn in Destiny 2
Out of all the Weapons of Sorrow, Thorn is the most straightforward to obtain. That is so because it is available directly for purchase. To do so, simply head to the Monument to Lost Lights kiosk in the Tower. Upon interacting with it, navigate to the Forsaken Exotics section, where you will find Thorn available for purchase. You can acquire it for the combined cost of one Exotic Cipher and 125,000 Glimmer.
How to obtain Osteo Striga in Destiny 2
To obtain this powerful Submachine Gun, you first need to complete The Witch Queen campaign on any character. It is necessary because it is the only way to unlock the Enclave. Once done, head to the Relic and open the Shape menu. From there, navigate to the Submachine Gun categorywhere you will be able to craft Osteo Striga using the required materials.
How to obtain Touch of Malice in Destiny 2
Touch of Malice is a weapon of sorrow that you can only obtain from Oryxthe Taken King. You will encounter it during the final encounter of the King’s Fall raid. However, note that the weapon is not a guaranteed drop. As a result, you may need to complete the raid multiple times before it finally appears as a reward.
How to obtain Necrochasm in Destiny 2
Out of all four weapons, obtaining Necrochasm is undoubtedly the most challenging. To get it, you must first complete the Crota’s End raid at least once. By doing so, you will get grant access to the Bottomless Pit Exotic quest.
From there, you need to complete the objectives associated with the quest. One of the early steps requires you to score a hundred Hive kills using the Husk of the Pit weapon. One key location for completing the requirement is the opening section of the Grasp of Avarice dungeon.
The next major step requires you to collect 20 Essence of the Oversoul, which can be earned by completing raid encounters and Triumphs. Once you fulfil all challenges, return to the quest vendor and claim Necrochasm as your reward.
