O’Shaquie Foster believes there’s a reason Shakur Stevenson reacts the way he does whenever his name enters the conversation.
The former WBC junior lightweight champion addressed Stevenson following their recent confrontation, arguing that the unbeaten star knows exactly what kind of challenge he would present in the ring.

“Shakur knows what’s up. That’s why he gets so emotional when I say certain things or when people bring me up,” said Foster to Fight Hub TV.
“Because he knows I’m not nothing to play with. It makes him react a certain way when people bring me up.”
Foster made the comments while discussing his latest exchange with Stevenson.
The two fighters have traded words on multiple occasions, and talk of a potential showdown has continued to generate interest among boxing fans. While Stevenson currently campaigns at lightweight and Foster has spent most of his recent career at junior lightweight, the possibility of the two eventually meeting has remained a topic of discussion.
Foster’s remarks suggest he believes Stevenson takes notice whenever his name is mentioned because of the stylistic challenge a fight could present.
Whether a fight between the two ever materializes remains to be seen, but Foster left little doubt about his view of the situation.
Foster has repeatedly pushed for a fight with Stevenson since defeating Stephen Fulton last December. Thus far, Stevenson has not publicly embraced the idea of a matchup between the two accomplished former world champions.
