Germany play their penultimate warm-up game – and final one on home soil – before the start of the World Cup when they host Finland in Mainz this evening.
The four-time competition winners will be firm favourites to make light work of a group containing Ivory Coast, Ecuador and debutants Curacao, but head coach Julian Nagelsmann will remain focussed on building momentum going into the tournament, beginning with a strong showing against their Nordic opponents.
Germany have not lost to Finland in more than a century, but Jacob Friis’ side will be hoping to end that run as they begin preparations for the UEFA Nations League, which begins in September.
Germany starting XI: Baumann, Musiala, Nmecha, Tah, Schlotterbeck, Karl, Pavlovic, Wirtz, Undav, Kimmich, Brown
Germany substitutes: Amiri, Anton, Beier, Goretzka, Gross, Leweling, Nubel, Raum, Rudiger, Sane, Stiller, Thiaw, Urbig, Woltemade
Finland starting XI: Hradecky, Miettinen, Walta, Lod, Marhiev, Mahuta, Suhonen, Alho, Keskinen, Kallman, Koski
Finland substitutes: Joronen, Sinisalo, Peltola, Pyhtia, Tenho, Antman, Vaanane, Skytta, Kilo, Miettinen, Pohjanpalo, Hakans, Jukkola, Arifi, Terho
Germany v Finland kicks off at 7:45pm UK time on Sunday.
It is available to stream via Amazon Prime Video for a pay-per-view charge of £2.99.
